As I listen to KNX 1070 news radio in the morning (now without Michelle), I hear about the country's gloomy economic outlook and the mounting recession. Though I wouldn't use "gloomy" to describe my state of mind without Michelle, I definitely feel her absence sorely.

I sympathize. I may be in one of the greatest cities in the world, but all my Biolan buddies are far, far away. *sniffle* I miss my roommate.
So, I have to read all my news in Spanish now, and every time the paper mentions the US economy, it uses doomsday terms like "crisis economica." Too bad I lack the vocabulary to really understand if this is an actual crisis or if the Latin American press is just trying to freak people out.
